HISTORY
The caves were excavations that the arabs did in times of war. Cava Alta had the highest entry that gave passage to the interior of the Villa, hence its name. Later this trench was filled in to build next to the convent La Latina.

The entrance of Cava Alta was a place called Berenjena, for the situation in the house of the Ramírez de Madrid. Later it was the vegetable garden of the hospital La Latina.
