HISTORY:
This square refers to the queen who ruled Spain from the years 1833 to 1868, called by Pérez Galdós, «the queen of the sad destinies.» It was topped off with only 3 years, passing to the personal reign with 13 and forced to marry for political interests with 16 years old.

She was very popular at the beginning of his mandate. The reign ended to the 35 years of its existence with the Revolution of 1868.
