HISTORY:
This square is commonly known as «Plaza del Rastro» because of the blood trail that at times left the cattle of the slaughterhouse.

Since 1941, the square is dedicated to Eloy Gonzalo, a spanish soldier during the war of independence of Cuba in Cascorro, where, to eliminate the enemy, he set fire to the houses where they intended to hide, losing his life.
