This street belong to six neighborhood: Senado, Isabel II, Carlos III, Ayuntamiento, Alfonso VI y Aguas, and three parishes: Santiago, Santa María y San Andrés.
The owner of these lands was the prior of San Martin. The king Felipe II didn´t want anyone to build in the area near of the Alcázar without his consent, so he ordered people sell their lands to the Royal Patrimony.
After all, María de Córdoba y Aragón built her school of the Order of San Agustín with the consent of the king in these controversial lands.
