It was the street that led to the village of Hortaleza, that is the reason for the name of this street.
As a curiosity we see that, as Pedro de Répide writes, this street lacked the number 100, going up from #98 to #102. In this street takes place the celebration, on the 16 of January, the «Vueltas de San Antón», in which owners and pets go to this church with the name of this saint for the blessing of these. It is the first popular festival of the year.
