CALLE DE PRECIADOS

HISTORY:
Even more narrow than Carmen street was the beggining of this street, before the reform of 1854, the centre of Puerta del Sol. The ground of this street belonged to the residence of pleasure of the monarchs of Castilla, of which today is the convent and garden of Descalzas Reales. Also belonged part of these lands to the convent of San Martín. Two brothers with their last name «Preciado», purchased yards of this street, and due to the excellent work of building and compliance of their purpose, honor their memory with their name on this street.
